LEWISTON — The Lewiston and Auburn Public Libraries have partnered with the Lewiston CareerCenter to provide a free monthly class titled Resume Basics and Build a Resume.

The class will take place from 2 to 4:30 p.m. one Wednesday each month, alternating between the two libraries. The next class is Wednesday, Feb. 24, at Lewiston Public Library in the second floor computer lab.

The class teaches the basic do’s and don’ts of resume-writing. Participants will learn how to stand out in a positive way by marketing themselves on paper in a way that directly matches employer needs. Computers will be available and attendees can compose a resume during the class, with staff assistance. Attendees must be able to type their own resumes.

The class is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Call the CareerCenter at 753-9066 to register.
