1942 – 2016

RUMFORD — Josephine “Josie” Inglis, 73, died on Friday, Feb. 12, at Rumford Hospital. She was a resident of Grove Avenue in Rumford.

She was born in Rumford on June 1, 1942, a daughter of Ione Whitman. She attended Rumford Schools and worked at Bob’s Quick Stop and Zayre as a clerk. Josie enjoyed crocheting, making dolls, crafts, flower arranging and cooking.

She was married in Rumford on April 11, 1959, to Russell “Rusty” Inglis. He died in Rumford on Oct. 4, 2010.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel and his wife, Linda, of Rumford and Steven and his wife, Theresa, of Raymond; two sisters, June Dunn of Buckfield and Sylvia Hayes of Mexico; a brother, Doug Smith of Lisbon; grandchildren, Christopher Inglis, Wyatt Inglis, Victoria Inglis and Gavin Inglis.
