GREENWOOD — Mt. Abram Ski Resort is hosting a slew of events over the weekend of Feb. 19-21, including its annual Gilpatrick-Fitch Memorial Ski Race and the Mt. Abram Ski Club’s annual auction.

Connelly Castle, marketing and events director, said that the Gilpatrick-Fitch Memorial Ski Race, scheduled from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, is an annual downhill ski race sponsored by the Mt. Abram Ski Club, in which all proceeds go to the Maine Cancer Foundation.

Registration is $10 per person for two runs.

The Mt. Abram Ski Club will also host its annual ski club auction at 5 p.m. in the Loose Boots Lounge. The ski auction offers ski memorabilia, ski equipment, lift passes and other unique items to participants.

The Mt. Abram Ski Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to snowsports education for children and youth in western Maine.

Castle added that Mt. Abram will host several events over February break, including the following:

• Tuesday, Feb. 16: Maine Principals Association Class A Slalom State Championship.

• Wednesday, Feb. 17: Annual ice cream social and BINGO Night to support Friends of Mt. Abram, 5:30 p.m. in the main lodge.

• Thursday, Feb. 18: Peabody and Sherman SkillsQuest Scavenger Hunt, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Friday, Feb. 19: Westside Rally, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

• Friday, Feb. 19: The Annual Captain Peachfuzz Invitational, 3:30 to 5 p.m.

• Friday, Feb. 19: Box Car Race at the base of Boris Trail, 5:30 p.m.
