1924 – 2016
AUBURN — Jean B. Luciano, 91, a lifelong resident of Livermore Falls, passed away on Monday, Feb. 15, at the Hospice House in Auburn, following a brief illness.
She was born in Livermore Falls on June 29, 1924, the daughter of Franklyn and Florence (Smith) Burbank. She was a 1942 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. Prior to her marriage, she worked at the Record Foundry and New England Telephone Company. During World War II, she was an airplane spotter along with her good friend, Betty Parker Davis. On July 27, 1946, she married Antonio “Tony” Luciano at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. They were married for 58 years before he passed away on July 17, 2004. Jean was a communicant at St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Red Hat Society and Jay-Livermore Falls Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Linda and Don Leclerc of Jay; and her son and his wife, Michael and Sue Luciano of Jay; four grandchildren, Kristen Guay and her husband, Chris, of Jay, Katie Ouellette and her husband, Michael, of Jay, Scott Luciano and his wife, Sara, of Hermon, and Bryan Luciano and his wife, Joy, of Manchester; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Tony; her sisters, Constance B. Dumais and Irvine Dube; and her great-grandson, A.J. Saunders.
