New Auburn group to hear speaker
AUBURN — The United New Auburn Association will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at Rolly’s Diner.
Reports will be made by Joe Gray, recording secretary; Kathy Shaw, secretary; and Ken Blais, finance.
Speaker will be Sheri Blumenthal, Lots to Gardens. All are invited.
Robin Dow Seniors to meet
AUBURN — The Robin Dow Senior Citizens met Feb. 10 for the regular meeting and Valentine luncheon.
The meeting was conducted by President Sandy Verrill. Chaplain Pat Donohue gave an opening prayer. A moment of silence was observed for deceased members, Irving Grant and Dorothy Weeks. A new member, Lorraine Raymond was introduced.
Attendance winners were Irene Fraser and Verrill; blue tickets, Mary Tassinari, Mary Tyler and Carol Lepage; white tickets, Al Strout, Bob Switzer and Pat Donohue; red tickets, Nancy Hutchinson, Joyce Poole and Mary Tassinari.
The next meeting will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 24.
Library hosting farmer’s market
AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library will host the annual Indoor Farmer’s Market from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 26.
The family event includes vendors with homegrown and homemade foods plus a mixture of jams, jellies, root crops, homestead crafts and sweet treats.
In addition, the afternoon will feature live acoustic music by the library’s own Aaron Wardwell. Members of the Southern Maine Chapter of the Embroiderers’ Guild of America will demonstrate and exhibit their needlework. The farm animals will once again be back.
Bean, ham supper planned
LISBON FALLS — Methodist Women will host a homemade baked bean and ham supper from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Lisbon United Methodist Church on School Street.
Admission will be $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 6 to 12, and free for kids 5 and younger.

Pickwick Club to meet
AUBURN — The Pickwick Club, Maine’s Dickens’ reading and discussion group, will meet from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Auburn Public Library.
The topic of discussion will be “Nicholas Nickleby,” Chapters 1 to 33, with moderator Joanne Morse.

Fourth Saturday supper at church
AUBURN — A supper will be held on the fourth Saturday of the month at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at the Auburn United Methodist Church, 439 Park Ave.
The menu will include baked beans, casseroles, potato salad, hot dogs, coleslaw, breads, beverage and pie. The cost is $8.
Entertainment will be provided by the Park Street Pickers.
Church hosting ‘Fabulous Florida Fiesta’
CASCO — The Casco Village Church United Church of Christ, 941 Meadow Road, Route 121, will hold its third annual “Fabulous Florida Fiesta” from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27.
It will be a traditional Saturday Night supper with a tropical twist: beans, casseroles, summer salads, Hawaiian punch, iced tea and homemade desserts. Residents are invited to don their wildest Hawaiian shirts and celebrate summer in February.
Cost is $8 for adults and $5 age 8 and under, $21 max for families with young children.
After supper, shop for 50 percent off the entire stock of summer clothing downstairs in the “Wings & Things” clothing and accessories thrift shop.
Church to host Saturday supper
GRAY — A baked bean and casserole supper will take place at 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at First Congregational Church, Route 115.
The meal will include salads, homemade breads and desserts. Cost is $8 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
The church is wheelchair accessible.

Monthly dinner at Auburn church
AUBURN — A baked bean and American chop suey dinner will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 27, at Sixth Street Congregational Church, 109 Sixth St.
Cost is $6 for adults, $3 for ages 6-12 and free for 5 and younger.
Take-out will be available.
The supper will also be held on the third Saturday of March, April, May, June, September and October.
