NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has announced events for March.

The center is open from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays. It is located at 199 Main St. in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic building. It has a library, pamphlets and comfort items. Activities are scheduled at the center (unless otherwise noted), and are free to people impacted by cancer.

In addition to regular activities, the center is offering fly tying in Norway and Bethel, plus adding a knitting group, cards and games, penny rug and crafting. 

Women’s Cancer Support Group: Noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5. FMI: 207-744-6173.

Fly Tying: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesdays at two locations, Norway Memorial Library, 258 Main St., Norway, and and Gould Academy, Bethel. Register: wightj@gouldacademy.

Coloring for Adults: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursdays.

Stamping Up with Kathy: 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 3.

Visual Journaling with Peter: 10 a.m. to noon Fridays, March 4 and 18.

Look Good Feel Better: 3 to 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 8. Register: 207-744-6173.

Community Cancer Cut & Sew at Sew Orchid Design: 10 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, March 9 and 23, and 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, at 316 Main St., Norway.

Knitting Group: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursdays, March 10 and 31.

Crafting with Sherri: 10 a.m. to noon Friday, March 11.

Cards and Games: 1 to 2:30 p.m. Fridays, March 11 and 25.

Beading Project at Lively Accents: 3 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at 310 Main St., Norway.

Penny Rug with Karen: 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, March 24.

Walk and Talk with David: Schedule a time by calling 207-739-7027.

In case of bad weather, activities are cancelled if SAD 17 cancels classes.
