WMPM fundraising for courtyard 
 
WILTON — The Western Maine Play Museum is in conversation with the Maine School of Masonry to construct a courtyard in front of the museum. WMPM is seeking donors whose names will be engraved onto bricks. The deadline is March 1. Engraved small bricks will be created with a $100 donation; large bricks $250. Bethel Seniors to meet

BETHEL — The Bethel Senior Citizens Club will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Northland Dairy Bar, Berlin, N.H., for their meeting and dinner. The bus will leave the Bethel health Center at 10:15 a.m. All meals and gratuities will be each person’s responsibility. Reservations are required by Tuesday, March 1. RSVP: (207) 824-2877.

Rumford Seniors to take day trip

RUMFORD — The Rumford Senior Citizens will host a day trip to the 4 p.m. Stars On Ice show on Sunday, April 17. Lunch will be at the Cracker Barrel before the show.  Cost is $60 for members, $70 for nonmembers. Lunch is not included. Those going must pay at the time of sign up, due by Tuesday, March 1. Brain injury group meet and greet

RUMFORD — The Western Maine Brain Injury Support Group will meet at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, March 1, at 82 Congress St. The session is for individuals and their caregivers. A meet-and-greet will be followed by a discussion and social from 7 to 8 p.m. The group meets the first Tuesday of every month. FMI: Catherine Johnson, (207) 364-4561.

Words with Friends Playoff!

PARIS — The Paris Public Library will host Words with Friends Playoff! at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 1. Participants should bring a laptop or device to play the computerized version of Scrabble, which keeps score and doesn’t allow players to use unacceptable words. Winners of each round will play each other until there are two winners left. The final two will play off to see who will reign as the Words with Friends Champ! A small prize will be awarded to the champion.

Knitters to meet, chat

PARIS — The Western Maine Knitting Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 1, at the Haskell House, next door to the First Congregational Church. Coffee will be served. A knit and chat meeting will be held rather than the knitting on wire program by Patricia Valeriani. Those attending should bring copies of cowl patterns as well as other patterns that they wish to swap. Bring 10-15 copies so each person is able to have a copy. Cowls are the most important pattern right now since that is what will be made for the exhibit at Waterford and Oxford County fairs. New members are always welcome. If school is cancelled due to the weather, the meeting will be cancelled. FMI: 207-539-2518.
