GARDINER — Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center continues its season with a varied music weekend. At 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 4, holler-folk band The Ghost of Paul Revere and at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, March 5, roots-rock band The Colwell Brothers will be performing.
With a sound built around powerful three-part harmonies, energetic performances, and a non-traditional way of interpreting traditional American music, the Ghost of Paul Revere have unique identities. They use a masterful combination of melody and energy, somewhere between folk and foot-stomping bluegrass.
Pat Colwell paves the way with searing guitar leads from by-gone eras tastefully blended into contemporary versions of heart-wrenching soul music. Studio wizard Bob Colwell, the other half of the legendary Colwell Brothers, rips it up with his electrifying keyboards and soulful vocals.
Tickets for both shows are $16 for adults, $14 for seniors and $5 for youth 17 and under. Tickets are available by contacting Johnson Hall’s box office Monday through Wednesday and Friday from noon to 3p.m. at 207-582-7144, or go to: www.johnsonhall.org.
