BRUNSWICK — Bernice I. Curtis, 90, a longtime resident of Lisbon Falls died on Monday, Feb. 22, at a Brunswick health care facility after a brief illness.
She was born March 18, 1925, in Lisbon, a daughter of Louis and Albia (Boultbee) Dumas.
Bernice attended schools in Lisbon Falls and graduated from Lisbon Falls High School in 1943.
She married Burton B. Curtis on Oct. 13, 1943, in Freeport. They lived in Oklahoma during his military service and then resided in Brunswick, Durham and Lisbon Falls.
She was employed in the school lunch program for the Lisbon School Department.
Bernice was a devoted and loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed visiting with friends and family, reading and family history.
She is survived by two sons, Terry B. and wife, Linda, of Meridian, Idaho, and Gregory T. and wife, Mary, of Bangor; four sisters, Annette and husband, Milton Tibbets, Laurette and husband, Arthur Chapman, Mildred and husband, Andrew Alexander, and Beverly and husband, Stanley Craig; and three grandchildren.
Bernice was predeceased by her husband in 1995; and her parents.
