1976 – 2016

Derek Shane Palange Sr., 40, of Belgrade accidently died in an ATV accident on Salmon Pond in Belgrade.

Derek grew up in Sabattus. He loved the outdoors, working on vehicles, cutting wood, taking things apart and putting them back together again.

He loved his three kids with all of his heart.

He is survived by his mother, Lorna Winslow and her longtime companion, Wayne Labbe, of Topsham; his sister, Crystal Palange and her companion, Simon Graham, of Florida; his brother, Julian Palange Jr. and his companion, Jillian, of Florida; his two daughters, Kathy Lague of Lisbon Falls, and Rachael Palange of Sabattus; his son, Derek Palange Jr. of Lisbon Falls; his granddaughter, Eva of Lisbon Falls; his aunts, Stacy Dostie of Sabattus, Holly Dostie and her husband, Jules, of Mechanic Falls; his uncles, Jerry Winslow and his wife, Kelly, of Monmouth, Shawn Winslow of Topsham; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Hollis and Janice Winslow of Sabattus; a brother, Rory Winslow of Sabattus, who died as an infant; and a cousin, Kelly Winslow.

Derek will be sadly missed by his family and many friends.
