Seniors welcome new members 

AUBURN — The First Auburn Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the Hasty Community Center. A board meeting will be held at 10 a.m.

Tickets will be on sale for the Wednesday, March 16, boiled dinner at a cost of $5 each.

There were 49 members present at the last meeting. The group welcomed seven new members: Jeannine Cyr, Jean-Guy Vincent, Doris Bourgoin, George Bourgoin, Sara Therriault, Steven Levitt and Claudette Poulin.

Attendance winners were Norma Goddard and Pat Records; pot of gold, Carmela Hewitt, Deloris Danforth and Barbara Willis; 50-50, Pat Donahue, Evelyn Sawin and Norma Goddard.

Mexico Trail Blazers to meet

MEXICO — The Mexico Trail Blazers will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, downstairs at the Mexico Town Hall. All are welcome.

Fundraiser T-shirts will be available. The money goes to help the trail system.

Turner Adult Ed hosting budgeting class

TURNER — A free “Budgeting Basics” workshop will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 24, at SAD 52,Turner Adult Education.

Participants will learn about the basic components for building a budget and discuss money-tracking, goal-setting, challenges, ways to reduce expenses and how understanding the overall financial situation can be helpful in creating a budget that will work.
