HARTFORD (WGME) — An overnight fire destroyed a home in the Oxford County town of Hartford.

Firefighters say the fire started early Thursday morning on Perry Road. The homeowners and their pets made it out safely.

Firefighters from several towns provided mutual aid. The Turner Fire Chief says the cold weather did not help the response.

Investigators with the State Fire Marshal’s Office will be on the scene later in the day to determine a cause.
