Early reports were that the detached garage at 33 Main St. was fully engulfed when crews arrive at about 7:30 p.m.

There were no reports of injuries. Firefighters from Norway, Oxford, Paris and Woodstock were called in to assist. 

The garage is near the corner of Briggs Street, just off Route 26. Police blocked off a section of Main Street as the firefighting effort continued.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately known.
