LEWISTON — Patrick Hodsdon and Amanda Ettinger will host a presentation on healthy eating at 6 p.m. Monday, March 21, in the demonstration kitchen at the Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing, 29 Lowell St.
They will offer planning suggestions, tips and recipes that program participants can use to add healthy meals to their dinner rotation.
Ettinger, a registered dietitian, graduated from Mount Saint Vincent University with bachelor’s degrees in accounting and applied human nutrition. She completed an integrated dietetic internship. Her background includes work in diabetes education, long-term care, bariatric surgery, food service management, and as a clinical dietitian in a number of small, rural hospitals. She worked with cancer patients through the Dempsey Center before assuming the role of administrative dietitian at Central Maine Medical Center.
Hodsdon is an executive chef with Sodexo, a company that provides culinary, catering and nutritional services. He graduated from Johnson & Wales University in Denver with a degree in culinary arts. He has worked in a variety of settings, including hotels, restaurants and country clubs. He has more than 19 years of experience in the field.
