DEAR SUN SPOTS: I’m doing another book — the Briggs Family. I’m the great-granddaughter of Cyrus Briggs who married Abbie Chloe Stevens as his second wife. He was born Jan. 7, 1826 and lived to March 4, 1913. Abbie was born Feb. 9,

He was born Jan. 7, 1826, and lived to March 4, 1913. Abbie was born Feb. 9, 1842, and lived until Nov. 24, 1921. They lived in the Minot/Auburn/Turner areas. Cyrus’s first marriage was to Lydia Loring, who lived from 1829 to 1861. Does anyone happen to have pictures of Cyrus? My only one is Cyrus and Abbie with children Will, Liz and Rol Briggs.

Also, does anyone have any history of Ira Stevens, born June 6, 1815, who left for unknown places and was married to Betsey Campbell? Betsey was born July 5, 1817, and they were the parents of Abbie Chloe Stevens Briggs.

I would like to hear from anyone. Please call 207-487-5429. — Beverly, Burnham, Maine.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: You have been a great help to us in finding things, and we hope you can help us with this. Our daughter is a rural mail carrier. She has just bought a 2011 Toyota RAV4 and she wants to find someone who can put the brakes and gas pedal on the passenger side.
