NEW PORTLAND — The Western Mountains Baptist Church will host its fourth annual Sliding Party from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 12.

Snowmobilers will be available to haul children and adults back up Gilmore Hill after descending the hill. Those attending should dress warm and bring their own sleds.

After the sliding, an open fire will be available at the church for participants to warm up. There will be hot dogs and marshmallows available to cook on a stick. Hot chocolate and other goodies will also be served.

The event is free and open to the public.
