LIVERMORE FALLS — A family birthday party on Knapp Street on Sunday erupted into a large street fight involving sticks and bats, Police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Monday.
Police responded to a report of a riot in the vicinity of 30 Knapp St. at 4:47 p.m. There were 10 to 12 people at the scene, some yelling and screaming, some armed with sticks and bats, he said. Children and dogs were also at the fight.
There were minor injuries, most not requiring medical attention, Steward said.
A NorthStar EMS ambulance took one person to the hospital with a dog bite.
Lt. Joseph Sage and Officer Steve Gould were assisted by Jay police.
Charges are pending, Steward said.
People involved were given disorderly conduct warnings, he said.
