RUSKIN, Fla. — William S. Hamlin, 84, of Milan, N.H., died Monday, Feb. 29, in Florida.
He was born in Errol, N.H. on Oct. 8, 1931, the son of the late Philip G. and Minnie I. (Stewart) Hamlin and lived most of his life in Milan, N.H.
He had been employed by Brown Company and James River Corp. in the accounting department and was heavily involved in town politics in Milan. He was also was an active member and past chief of the Milan Fire Department and was a New Hampshire Forest Fire Warden.
Bill was a member of the Gorham Sabatis Lodge No. 73 F&AM and the Milan Methodist Church. He had wintered in Florida for several years.
The family includes his sisters, Mary Lou Johnson of Riverview, Fla., and Celia Kirkpatrick of Saybrook, Ill.; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife, Geraldine S. (Johnson) Hamlin and a sister, Polly Laramee.
