BRIDGTON — Carol L. Breton, 68, passed away surrounded by her loving family at Bridgton Hospital on Friday, March 4.
Carol loved children and worked at Pitter Patter Daycare in Oxford. She also was key in establishing the Community Child Care Center that she operated from 1992 to 1998. Prior to being a day care provider, Carol worked as a CNA at Andrews Nursing Home and also as a waitress. Carol was also a stay-at-home mom and had a special knack for home decorating.
Carol loved family and was particularly fond of her cat, Leapshin. Carol was a member of the First Congregational Church in South Paris and she was active with the Thalians Club.
She is survived by a son, Shonn Breton and wife, Nicole, of Cheshire, Conn.; two granddaughters, Sienna and Ava Breton; a brother, Irving Scribner and wife, Hiroko, of Lewiston; a sister, Vicki Merrill and partner, Ronald Brett, of South Paris; nephew, Anthony Scribner of Kirkland, Wash.; niece, Jillian Diffin and husband, Eric, of Norway; niece, Mikenzi Merrill of South Paris; and nephew, Todd Pelletier.
She was predeceased by her husband, Steve Breton; her mother, Sylvia Conant; her father, Milton Scribner; and a sister-in-law, Cheryl Pelletier.
