WILTON — Mt. Blue RSD Adult and Community Education has scheduled two art classes with Wilton artist Barbara Hathaway, painter of sunsets.

Art of Watercolor will be held at the Hathaway Art Studio from 6 to 7:30 p.m. for five sessions beginning Wednesday, April 6.

The classes cover composition, application of watercolor, and techniques shown through demonstrations that students can watch or paint along with. Watercolor paints, WC paint brushes, a palette and 140 pound watercolor paper are needed.

A new five-week session poetry journaling class using art and writing together to express and record thoughts and ideas will also be offered. The class runs from 6 to 7:30 p.m. beginning Thursday, April 7, at the Hathaway Art Studio. The class requires watercolors, watercolor pencils, pen and ink, or drawing pencils.
