LEWISTON — InSPire Creativity: Book Building will take place from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at the Lewiston Public Library.
Visit the library to get inSPired. Volunteers from Lewiston-based content management company SPi Global will be at the library with all the supplies needed to create book using recycled materials.
Morning activities will include an opportunity for kids of all ages to decorate and bind their own books. Children will learn about book layout, cover design, copyright pages and binding.
Participants will be encouraged to use their imagination to write, illustrate and build their own book to take home.
Kids will have a chance to get to know the library through a letterboxing activity that will take them on an adventure around the children’s area of the library, collecting stamps in their new books.
