1953 – 2016

WILTON — Lura E. Reed, 62, died on Wednesday, March 9, in Wilton. She was a resident of Route 108 in Rumford.

Born in Rumford on Oct. 5, 1953, she was a daughter of Edgar and Rose (Puiia) Reed. Laura attended Hope School and the Adult Activity Center. She was a communicant of the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius—St. John Church; she belonged to Oxford County Association for Retarded Citizens; she loved to play bingo, dancing and especially her birthday parties.

Survivors include her mother, Rose Reed of Rumford; a sister, Teresa Petrie and her husband, Mark, and family of Rumford; brothers, Frank Reed and family of Rumford, Daniel Reed and his wife, Laura, and family of Rumford; a sister-in-law, Donna Hutchins of Penobscot; and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her father, Edgar Reed; maternal grandparents, Carmelo and Rosaria Puiia; and paternal grandparents, Frank and Edith Reed.
