LEWISTON — The SELF-e Indie Writers Workshop will continue on Friday, March 18, at the Lewiston Public Library.

From 3 to 4 p.m. in the Jeanne Couture Room, Melissa Walshe will discuss how to format e-books so they are ready for publication. Participants may bring specific questions related to their own work. Beginners are also welcome.

Walshe published her first book, “Autumn’s Daughter,” in 2014 and will soon release the sequel, “Autumn’s Sister.” She is a professional copywriter for shines & jecker laboratories, where she is currently developing the website www.readmaine.com. She has an Master of Education in language and literacy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics from the University of Southern Maine.

The SELF-e Indie Writers Workshops are part of an ongoing joint effort by the Lewiston and Auburn public libraries to support local writers and promote SELF-e, the new library service that allows Lewiston or Auburn library cardholders to publish their original e-books through the libraries.

There will be two more workshops in the series: “The Only Good Hero is an Anti-Hero” at the Auburn Public Library on Friday, April 22; and “Online Book Marketing for Humans” at the Lewiston Public Library on Friday, May 20.
