JAY — A local man was listed in fair condition at a Lewiston hospital Monday after the ATV he was driving rolled over Sunday night in the middle of Macomber Hill Road in North Jay.
Ashley Marshall, 29, of Jay received a serious head injury in the accident that occurred near Bickford Road about 6:40 p.m., Police Chief Richard Caton IV said.
The ATV was heading west toward Route 4.
A passenger on the ATV, Christopher Embleton, 31, of Wilton, received minor injuries but was not taken by ambulance to a hospital, Caton said.
Marshall was taken by a NorthStar EMS ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington and was transferred to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, he said.
The accident remains under investigation by Sgt. Russell Adams.
The Maine Warden Service and Jay Fire Rescue Department responded to the scene.
