NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital and the MaineHealth Learning Resource Center will offer a seminar, Understanding Dizziness, from 4 to 5 p.m. Thursday, March 24, at the Harper Conference Center in the Ripley Medical Office Building.

The presentation is geared toward those who experience dizziness when they move their head or body and are having trouble walking or moving because of dizziness. Vertigo is a common problem that causes dizziness, especially among older adults.

Amy Bottomley, a physical therapist from Stephens Memorial Hospital, will lead an hour-long class on vertigo, including common causes and ways to help. Bottomley has her doctorate in physical therapy and is certified in vestibular rehabilitation from the American Institute of Balance.

There is no cost for this program, although registration is required.
