1929 – 2016

BEND, Ore. — Laura Richardson passed away Friday, Feb. 26, in Bend, Ore., after a well-lived and generous life.

She was born Lena Laura Pike on Nov. 6, 1929, in South Waterford, as the ninth of twelve children to Clayton Alvin and Grace Skinner Pike.

Soon after graduation from Bridgton Academy in 1947, Laura moved to San Diego, Calif., where she married Robert Durell McNary in 1952. Together they had three daughters, Patricia Ann Cuny, Julie Grace Kopp and Barbara Lynn McNary.

In 1981, she became matriarch of an extended family through her second marriage to Albert Luther Richardson in Greeley, Colo. She enjoyed traveling, entertaining, and staying active and engaged with their families around the country.

She is survived by her daughters; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; as well as her sisters, Lelia Hill, Betty Adams and Eva Thurlow; along with many adored nieces, nephews and their families.
