One Team: The Story of The Lewiston High School Blue Devils from LHSOneTeamFilm on Vimeo.
From the moments when everything started to fall into place last fall for Ian Clough and his team, late April was circled in pencil as a goal.
Clough, along with producers Brad Bosse and Tom Fournier, and director of photography John Mowat, is working on a documentary chronicling the Lewiston High School boys’ soccer team, and its run last year to the Class A state championship.
The film also touches on subjects that transcend sports: Immigration, the transformation of a recovering mill town, and the decades-long quest of one coach to earn an elusive state title.
Tuesday, Clough announced via social media that a director’s cut of the film, “One Team: The Story of the Lewiston Blue Devils,” will be screened at the Emerge Film Festival in Lewiston, turning his penciled-in goal into one now highlighted in permanent, neon ink.
“We are thrilled to announce the first of many exciting moments for us to look forward to,” Clough wrote on the film’s Facebook wall. “There will be a screening … at the Emerge Film Festival on Friday, April 29, at the Franco Performance Hall in Lewiston at 8 p.m.”
