SOUTH PORTLAND — Jeffrey Quinn Douglas, 24, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 12.

Jeffrey, who battled depression and bipolar disorder for many years, graduated from Scarborough High School in 2010 and lived in South Portland.

Jeffrey was known for his colorful way with words, sharp wit and clever sense of humor. He often sent funny quotes or sayings to his friends and family, just to make them laugh.

He enjoyed the outdoors, riding on four-wheelers at his grandparents’ farm and going mudding in “Clifford,” his big red pick-up truck. He also loved hanging out with friends, playing Guitar Hero and video games, listening to music and being with his dog, Tewkey.

Jeffrey was not afraid of hard work, and took great pride in what he accomplished as he learned various carpentry skills.

Jeffrey had his share of challenges, but through it all, remained a loyal friend, a protective big brother, a doting uncle and a loving son. If you knew Jeffrey, please hold him close in your heart and pray he is at peace.

Jeffrey will be forever missed by his mother, Patricia Quinn and her partner, Michael Rothaupt, of Falmouth; his father and stepmother, Ronald and Donna Douglas of Hope; his sister, Amanda Douglas; and his nephew, Jason Dow. He leaves behind paternal grandparents, Willard and Joan Douglas of Wilton.

He was predeceased by maternal grandparents, Robert and Gladys Quinn of Taftville, Conn.

He will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and of course, his Tewkey.
