JAY — Police are investigating burglaries at two residences on Warren Hill Road, where chain saws and power tools were stolen from garages.
The burglaries were reported at 4:29 p.m. Tuesday and 6:10 a.m. Wednesday. There was no forced entry into either garage, Police Chief Richard Caton IV said Thursday.
On Tuesday, two Stihl chain saws were reported stolen, he said. The combined value is estimated at $1,200.
On Wednesday, a chain saw and two RIDGID cordless drills, two chargers and a Ryobi charger were taken. The brand of the chain saw and the value of the items were not immediately available.
Officers Dylan Rider and Fred Buchanan investigated.
Anyone with information or who saw anything suspicious in the area is asked to call the Jay Police Department at 897-6766.
