NEW GLOUCESTER — A Buxton man was injured during a logging mishap Friday in when a tree fell on his head.
A spokeswoman at New Gloucester Fire and Rescue said the 24-year-old man, whom she declined to identify, had been wearing a hard hat and was conscious.
Rescue crews responded at 8:15 a.m. to a 911 call by the man’s partner at a logging site off Swamp Road and carried him out of the woods to a waiting ambulance. He was taken to Maine Medical Center in Portland for treatment.
No additional information was immediately available.
