1928 – 2016
NORWAY — Arthur Robert Millett passed away Tuesday morning March 15, at the age of 88.
Arthur, better known as Bob, was born to Grace Sawin and Arthur Millett on Jan. 9, 1928, in South Waterford.
He is survived by the love of his life, Geneva Nelson; four children, Craig Robert Millett, Carol Millett Davis, Gary Stanwood Millett and Edward Arthur Millett; nine grandchildren, Chris Gregson, Michelle Reugebrink, Stacy Hoyos, Benjamin Davis, Kimberly Davis, Brian Millett, Jennifer Millett, Edward Millett Jr. and Charity Yates; 19 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his loving sister, Barb Maxfield.
Bob was loved by all who knew this wonderful man, friend, husband, father and grandfather. He graduated from the Bridgton Academy and was a star basketball player for the academy. He was a hardworking man: he was a butcher, he worked at a CN Brown lumber mill, Grover lumber mill and the A.C. Lawrence Leather Co. for many years. He loved hunting, fishing and snowmobiling.
The family would like to thank the Norway Rehab for being so good to him. He loved the staff, especially Justin, Ursula and Bonnie. He had a special smile that would light up the room, a laugh that would make you smile, a sense of humor that would keep everyone laughing and he had a very strong grip. Bob will be missed by many who knew him. He certainly made a difference in our world.
