United Way of Eastern Maine is recruiting area non-profit organizations with volunteer needs for its Day of Caring on Friday, April 15. The Day of Caring is an annual event that matches a group of suitable volunteers to service-projects at several area non-profit organizations.
Projects commonly include painting, gardening, and reorganizing, but we are certainly open to whatever your volunteering needs may be. All projects must be able to be completed within the course of a day or half-day. Non-profit agencies participating in the Day of Caring can expect a dedicated group of volunteers to help with the completion of much needed service projects as well as positive recognition among the community. If you have more than one project, feel free to submit multiple proposals. A small pool of matching funds (50:50) for project materials are available to agencies with demonstrated financial need.
If you have any additional questions or are interested in submitting a project proposal, please contact Tyler Brooks at 207-941-2800 ortylerb@unitedwayem.org with the following information: Name of organization, contact information, project description, estimated length of project, and any financial need.
