LEWISTON — The Lewiston Auburn Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce will hold another in its Technology Series from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 6, at its office, 415 Lisbon St.

The topic will be Excel pivot tables with presenter William Wade.

Pivot tables are a feature of Microsoft Excel that allows users to summarize and analyze data. This course will be an overview of what pivot tables are, as well as some examples of how to use them.

The workshop will be useful for a business owner or someone who needs to manipulate data to explore and present it. At the end of the course, attendees should have an understanding of pivot tables and what they would use them for; the ability to use slicers to manipulate data in the pivot table; and the curiosity to see how pivot tables could be used to solve challenges.

While this is an introduction to pivot tables, it is not an introduction to Excel. Those interested in attending will need to be comfortable with Excel and be able to get around in it with ease.

Participants are encouraged to bring their laptops with them so they can follow along with examples provided by the presenter.
