Mr. Svenningsen of Auburn is confined to his home Hillcrest street as the result of injuries received in a fall, Tuesday evening. Mr. Svenningsen, accompanied by his wife, left an Auburn Heights car at Shepley street and had walked only a short distance when he stepped in a hole in the sidewalk and fell heavily. Though able to rise he was soon thrown in the same manner, as the darkness made it impossible to see the walk. An examination revealed that no bones were broken but the ligaments of the back and right leg were badly strained. He will be confined to his home for several weeks.

The first steps in the construction of the addition to Walton Junior High School were taken Tuesday, one day after the signing of the contract for the project. The first step in the $249,962 project was the removal of a canopy on the easterly end of the existing school, at the point where the main corridor on the first floor of the present building will be extended into the addition. When completed the addition as now planned will include four classrooms, a multi-purpose room, kitchen and shop area, plus the usual allied facilities for storage, offices and the like. The addition will be “T” shaped.
