AUBURN — High school student Rachel Meuse created the winning logo design for the 18th annual Letters for Literacy Scrabble Fest.

The event is from 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 17, at the Hilton Garden Inn Riverwatch. Registration is required by Monday, April 11. Proceeds benefit adult and family literary programs in Androscoggin County.

Meuse is currently enrolled in the Multimedia Technology program at the Lewiston Regional Technical Center. The program is offered to juniors and seniors from six area schools and can include video/film production, graphic/web design, 2D/3D animation and digital photography. The program offers students an opportunity to earn three college credits through a dual enrollment with Central Maine Community College. Most projects students undertake are real projects that are school- and community-based.
