TURNER — The North Turner Presbyterian Church will host its annual Mud Supper from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 8, to celebrate Maine’s unofficial mud season.
This community gathering is a celebration of surviving the winter, looking forward to spring and getting out of the house to visit with the neighbors while helping the community.
Mud Supper usually consists of all things brown, which always includes baked beans, ham, golden-brown casseroles and breads, chili, salads and chocolate desserts.
The supper is held at the GAR Hall on Howes Corner Road (Route 219) about a quarter mile east of the intersection of Routes 4 and 219.
Donations will be accepted at the door. Everyone is welcome.
