AUBURN — Central Maine Community College will host its annual spring open house for prospective students and their families from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 9, at 1250 Turner St.

In addition to representing all academic programs, student organizations and athletics, staff members and students will be available to assist with admissions and financial aid applications.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to tour the Tower, the new academic building that opened last fall. The athletic director will be on hand to discuss the new men’s hockey program scheduled to begin play in October.

The school will waive the application fee for those who complete admissions applications at the open house.

Refreshments prepared by culinary arts students will be served.

CMCC offers 41 degree programs and certificates that prepare graduates for immediate employment or to transfer to four-year institutions. In addition to on-campus housing and student clubs and activities, the college offers competitive athletic teams: Varsity and JV basketball, soccer, softball, and cross-country for women; varsity and JV basketball, baseball, soccer, cross-country and ice hockey for men.
