There were only a few correct answers for last week’s mystery photo, taken of 465 Main Street in Lewiston where Cloud 9 Day Spa & Wellness Center, as well as other businesses, is located. According to the Historic Preservation Review Board of Lewiston, the Day-Reynolds-Gray House, built in 1875, is an unusual asymmetrical towered mansion close to Italianate style. It was built for Joseph Day, a mayor of Lewiston; then home to Roscoe Reynolds, a councilor and an alderman (1897-1921); and also the home of William P. Gray, a theater magnate who controlled more than 150 theaters in New England during the 1920s. In a random drawing of the correct entries, Jackie McMorran of Lewiston was chosen as the winner of a $10 Subway gift card.
