POLAND — Excelsior Grange is seeking contestants for an amateur talent contest.

The contest will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at the Grange Hall, 446 Harris Hill Road.

All forms of general audience entertainment are encouraged to enter. Amateur is defined as someone who has never required payment to perform.

There will be three age categories: Youths ages 4 to 11, youths 12 to 18 and adults over 19.

Each category will have two monetary prizes; $100 for first place and $50 for second place. The audience will also choose one act as the People’s Choice Award, which has a $50 prize.

Preregistration is required. The deadline to enter is Saturday, April 16.

Anyone wishing to enter the contest can request an entry form or more information by calling 207-998-2301 or emailing [email protected]. Entry forms will also be available at local Regional School Unit 16 schools.

Audience admission costs $4 for adults. Children younger than 12 are admitted free.
