1942 – 2016

FOREST CITY, N.C. — Joseph Paul Andre Levesque, 74, of Forest City, N.C., died Tuesday, April 5, at Hospice House of Forest City.

Joseph was born Feb. 2, 1942, in Lewiston and was a son of the late Roger P. Levesque and Gertrude Montreuil Levesque. He honorably served his country in both the Korean Conflict and Vietnam War and retired in 1980 at the rank of master sergeant in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include his son, Kenny Levesque, and wife, Shanna, of Maiden, N.C.; his daughter, Paula Levesque Rumple, and husband, Jeff, of Statesville, N.C.; his brother, Donat Joseph Levesque, of Auburn; and his five grandchildren, Joshua Henson, Brittany Levesque, Thomas Waugh, Whitney Levesque and Courtney Levesque.

He was predeceased by his wife, Helen Medford Levesque; a son, Joseph “Jody” Levesque; two infant siblings and his brothers, Maurice P. Levesque, Emile P. Levesque, Bertrand L. Levesque and Michael D. Levesque; and sister, Jacqueline Levesque Ouellette.
