MEXICO — Seventh- and eighth-grade students from Mountain Valley Middle School will display their QUEST projects from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Friday, April 15, teacher Lisa Drapeau said.

Math and social studies teacher Craig Milledge described QUEST as a theme-based, hands-on learning approach to help improve attendance and get students more excited about learning.

Drapeau said the themes in the current trimester were The Civil War, and Weather and Climate.

At 1 p.m., students and staff will meet in the gymnasium to celebrate all of the great successes students are having. Students who are meeting standards and demonstrating scholastic citizenship will be recognized.

“We will also be awarding nine $100 scholarships to seventh- and eighth-graders who wrote excellent college essays,” Drapeau said.
