Mexico Library free coloring event
MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will host a free coloring event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 21. The community is invited to join in as the library offers coloring for all ages.
Supplies including markers, crayons, colored pencils, gel pens, charcoal pencils, coloring pages, and paper will be provided.
This event is part of a new series the library is sponsoring, called “Create.” This series seeks to involve community members in various projects, presenting patrons and community members with opportunities to create, relax, imagine and interact.

Community supper planned in Waterford
WATERFORD — There will be a community pot-luck supper at 6 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Wilkins House in Waterford Flat on Plummer Hill beside the church.
Those attending should bring a main dish, salad or dessert to share with new friends and old friends. Rolls and beverages will be provided. The hosts for this supper are the Murphys.

Coloring, Earth Day at library
MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will hold its next freecoloring event from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday, April 21.
All the materials are provided, including coloring pages and various coloring implements. This event is for all ages. In addition, participants are encouraged to enter the coloring contest for a chance to win a free Pizza Hut pizza.
The library will also host activities on Friday, April 22, Earth Day. These activities will be geared for children ages 4to 6 and 7 to 9 (parental supervision is required).

Volunteers sought for Earth Day
FARMINGTON — The Farmington Recreation Department is seeking help from the community to clean up the land the department occupies for Earth Day.
Volunteers can “adopt a park” Friday, April 22, by removing litter from the parks — tools will be provided — at Hippach Field, Walton Mills Pond Park, Meetinghouse Park, Philbrick Park or Bjorn Park. Volunteers will receive free t-shirts.
After the parks are clean, volunteers will meet for an Earth Day celebration presented by the Public Works Department at 3 p.m. at Hippach Field.

‘Souper’ supper April 22
CHESTERVILLE — The Chesterville Grange will serve a public “souper” supper from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Friday, April 22.
The menu will include homemade soups, chowders and dessert. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children.
