1940 – 2016

CANTON — Ann F. (Child) Weston, 76, of Canton passed away Thursday morning, April 21, at Pinnacle Health and Rehabilitation, formerly Victorian Villa Rehabilitation.

She was born Jan. 25, 1940, in Rumford, the daughter of Marshall and Inez (Porter) Child. She graduated from Mexico High School. On June 24, 1967, she married Philip H. Weston, the love of her life. He passed away on Jan. 26, 2014. They made their home in Wilton.

Ann worked for G.H. Bass for 27 years. They moved to Victorian Villa Living Center in 2009. She was a member of the Dixfield Seventh-day Adventist Church. Ann and Phil enjoyed traveling, especially trips to the Maine coast. She enjoyed playing softball, bowling with her husband every week and watching baseball. Her favorite team was the Boston Red Sox.

She is survived by her sister, Barbara Allen and her husband, Finley, of Port Orange, Fla.; her sister-in-law, Joanne Child of Wilton; her uncle, Ellery Porter and his wife, Edythe, of Peru; cousins and several nieces and nephews, including her special nephew, George Child of Salem, Va., who shared the love of sports with her.

She was predeceased by her husband and both of her parents; her brother, Arthur Child Sr.; and her infant sister, Carol Child.
