AUBURN — The Auburn Art Club will hold its annual meeting and luncheon for members Tuesday, May 3, at the Central Maine Community College Culinary Arts Building.

The business meeting will begin at 10:30 a.m. Following the business meeting, lunch will be served by students in the Culinary Arts Program.

Joan Macri will present “Behind the Scenes of a White House Christmas.” She will share slides and details about her experience last November as a White House decorator. Decorators are selected competitively from all over the U.S. Her love of American history and her interest in gardening and creative endeavors encouraged her to apply for the opportunity.

Macri has lived in the Lewiston-Auburn area since 1977. She taught secondary school social studies for 37 years, including 24 at Lewiston High School. There, among other duties, she coached the Debate Team, served as an adviser to the National Honor Society and created the Aspirations Program, which she later expanded with College for ME-Androscoggin.

Members should let Treasurer Louise Reynolds know of their choice of entrée as well as provide payment for the luncheon.

Hostesses for the luncheon are Stephanie Upton, Kathy Cutter, Benita Flynn, Louise Reynolds, Jean Laliberte and Elizabeth Bell.
