The Rangeley Friends of the Arts is sponsoring a day of music and dance folk history at the Rangeley Lakes Regional School with Old Grey Goose on Wednesday, April 27. In a series of daytime workshops, they will play old-time dance tunes on a variety of acoustic instruments; singing songs of love, work, diversity and achievement from the vast repertoire of American folk history; and teaching regional dances representing multi-cultural traditions. At 5:30 p.m., there will be a school and community-wide dance featuring contra, circle and square dances for students and family members of all ages. All dances will be taught; no experience is necessary. Admission is free.
