I have never had a lot good to say about Gov. Paul LePage, but I admit that I was intrigued when he named himself Commissioner of Education — although it seemed a dictatorial move — because of his seemingly high personal interest in the subject.

Now I read two things (Sun Journal, April 27.) He held a closed door education session with his “insiders,” turning away the public and reporters in clear violation of Maine’s Freedom of Access Act; and he walked away from a University of Farmington dedication ceremony in the midst of his keynote remarks, the latter because of a small, silent, two-sign protest by students.

Well, news flash — students do that.

So, my opinion has now been clarified once again: The governor acts like a buffoon, is a bully who can dish it out but not take it, or, as a Red Sox fan might say, he’s Manny being Manny. In the end, Manny was sent to Los Angeles and eventually faded into oblivion. So, I find myself wondering if anyone might be interested in negotiating another trade?
