LEWISTON — “Baby Baby Baby” walked away with two EFFy awards, including the top prize, Best in Festival, at the Emerge Film Festival awards ceremony Saturday.
The romantic comedy deals with the relationship between two mismatched people who try to move past their baggage to make their love work.
Brian Klugman, the director and lead actor in the film, and producer Cassidy Lunnen accepted the awards for Best in Festival and Best Feature.
The other EFFy winners included:
• People’s Choice Award: “Landfill Harmonic”
• Best Documentary: “Sembene!”
• Best Maine Film: “Neptune”
• Best Short: “Winter’s Journey”
• Best Director: Wiebke von Carolsfeld, “Stay”
• Best Emerging Filmmaker: Danielle Orbach, “Seamless Love”
