1929 – 2016

NORWAY — Helen B. Gaudet, 87, formerly of Bucknam Oaks in Mechanic Falls and the Bath/Brunswick area, died Saturday, May 7, at Norway Center for Health and Rehabilitation, where she had been a resident for the past five years.

Born in Cambridge, Mass., on Jan. 24, 1929, she was the daughter of Pearl and Edward Brann. After their premature deaths, she was adopted by Helen and Arthur Tyler, who gave her a wonderful childhood and loving home. She graduated from Mechanic Falls High School in 1948.

Helen worked for many years in medical offices in the Bath area.

She is survived by her daughters, Peggyann Schneider and significant other, Duane Hallett, of Poland, and Cynthia and Robert Anderson of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; as well as grandchildren, Matthew Mannette of Conroe, Texas, Amy McGrath of Clifton, Va., Nicole Hamilton of Hartford, Natasha Kidder of Haverhilll, Mass., Jonathan Kidder of Puyallup, Wash., Sarah Kidder of Rupert, Idaho; numerous great-grandchildren; as well as loving and loyal friend, Colleen Tibbetts.

She was predeceased by husbands Elliot Gilliam and Walter Gaudet; her son, Scott Kidder; and grandson, Michael Mannette.
