AUBURN — Honor students Adam Nickerson of Greene and Melissa Potter of Lewiston have been awarded 2016 Joseph Graziano Memorial Scholarships.

Nickerson and Potter have completed the culinary arts certificate program at Central Maine Community College and will continue their studies in the fall in the restaurant management associate degree program at the college.

The scholarship fund was established in memory of Joseph Graziano, owner and founder of Graziano’s Restaurant, which operated for many years in Lisbon. In addition to owning the popular Italian eatery, he was active in local organizations and was a highly respected and admired citizen in the community.

The goal of the scholarship fund is to preserve Graziano’s legacy of “love through food.”
