Pauline was born July 1, 1928, in Chisolm, a daughter of Willie and Emma Deshaies. She graduated from Jay High School. On Dec. 26, 1949, she married Adrice Richard at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Their’s was the first marriage celebrated in the newly constructed church. Pauline worked at Ham’s Rexall Drug store for many years. After retiring, she volunteered at Franklin Memorial Hospital’s gift shop. She was known as a consummate sales woman at both locations, and took great pride in identifying customer’s needs and meeting them.

Pauline was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella and a member of the Jaycees. She and her husband, Adrice, loved vacationing in Marco Island, Fla., and Old Orchard Beach during their retirement. Pauline will be remembered for her generous spirit and sense of humor. Her love of family was her defining trait. She enjoyed nothing more than being surrounded by a large group of grandchildren at family gatherings on the Maine coast, family camps and holiday get-togethers.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sandy River Center for their dedicated care and support to Pauline and her family.
